Aaron Jan

Aaron Jan is a director, playwright, dramaturg and educator who has worked with theatres across Canada. He is one third of the critically acclaimed Silk Bath Collective, whose production of Woking Phoenix won the Jon Kaplan Audience Choice Dora Award as a part of Theatre Passe Muraille's 2023/2024 season. Aaron is the 2019 winner of the Ken McDougall Directing award, a 2021 Johanna Protege Recipient, the 2022 winner of Tarragon Theatre's Urjo Kareda Award, a co-recipient of the Aubry and Marla Dan Fund for new Musicals (with alaska B) and a co-recipient of the Rita Joe Playwriting Award (with Riel Reddick-Stevens). He is serving his fourth year as a casting associate for the Stratford Festival for the 2027 season and was a member of the 2025 Langham Director's Workshop cohort. aaronchihojan.wixsite.com/home
