Bruce Dow



After almost 30 years in the business, Bruce is very proud to be a 12 season veteran of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, and to have four "featured role" Broadway credits on his resume. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, he has appeared on stages, and has taught and guest-lectured at numerous colleges and universities, across Canada and the U.S. This past season, he appeared on Broadway as "King Herod" in the Tony® Nominated Revival of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR; and made his Washington, DC debut as "Bottom" in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM for the Tony® winning regional theatre - The Shakespeare Theatre Company. He has appeared on television in the Rick Mercer Report, and Murdoch Mysteries, and has voice a number of cartoon characters. He has released two solo CDs to great acclaim, and is a produced composer and lyricist of both musicals and incidental music. This spring, he will make his debut with Buddies in Bad Times Theatre Company, the largest facility-based queer theatre company in the world, as art and fashion legend, "Leigh Bowery", in OF A MONSTROUS CHILD: A GAGA MUSICAL. www.brucedow.com
